Get started with Humble for your browser
Set up Humble in your browser in about 2 minutes. The film has no sound.
What the film shows
- Your things are spread across tabs, tools and tasks: an email in Gmail, chats in ChatGPT and Claude, a Google Doc, a Slack message and a Linear ticket.
- In Humble, they're organised and linked together. The email, both chats, the doc, the Slack message and the Linear ticket are all linked to one task, "Send Andie the revised quote".
- Everything you need is ready, so it's easier to start.
- Step 1, add Humble to Chrome: on the Chrome Web Store, click "Add to Chrome", then "Add extension". The Humble icon appears in your toolbar, so you don't need to pin it, and the Humble welcome page opens.
- Step 2, click the Humble icon in your toolbar to open your sidebar.
- Step 3, log in to Humble in the sidebar with Google, Microsoft or email. If you're already logged in, skip this step.
- Step 4, leave a note on a page: on a website, click "+ Note" in the sidebar and type your thought. The note links to the page, so you can close the tab. The Humble icon turns green to show you left a note there.
- Step 5, remember a person: on Andie Lee's LinkedIn profile, click "+ Note" and type how you met. The note links to Andie. Click "Organise" and tick the clients tag, so Andie joins your own list of clients.
- Step 6, make a task from an AI chat: in a ChatGPT chat, click "+ Task" and type the task. The task links to that chat, so you never lose a useful chat in an old tab.
- Step 7, set up your personal home: on your Humble home, in Tips and tricks, switch on "Enable Browser New Tab". Your day is always there, with no app to open.
- Step 8, open a new tab. Chrome asks if you want to keep the change. Choose "Keep it", the plain button. Don't choose the blue "Change it back" button.
- Step 9, you're set up. Open a new tab, and your day is there. You can still search Google from the address bar. Now you know how to leave a note on any page, remember people you meet on LinkedIn, make a task that keeps your AI chats and pages with it, and see your day on every new tab.
