The person you assign can see the task in their list. You stay part of the task too. When they finish it, everyone on the task can see it on the shared timeline.
Assign a task
Open the task.
Select the person circle on the task. It says Unassigned.
Type a name or an email address. Pick a contact from the list, or keep typing a full email.
Select Assign.
When you finish, you’ll see this.
Their initials now show on the task, and the task is shared with them.
Assign anyone with an email
You do not need to be connected to the person first. Type their email address and select Assign.
Humble also saves the email to your contacts, so you do not need to type it again next time. To skip this, untick Add contact before you select Assign.
Find people faster with your contacts
If you connect your contacts, you can search for a person by name. Type the first few letters, then pick them from the list. Only contacts with an email address appear.
What happens next

They can see it in their list
When the person logs in to Humble with that email, the task is in their list. They join the task as an admin, so they can also edit it, share it and mark it as done.

Assigning does not give the task away. It is still shared with you, and you can still see and change it.

Everyone sees when it is done
When they complete the task, it appears on the shared timeline. Everyone the task is shared with can see it there.
Questions
Does the person need a Humble account?
They need to log in to Humble with the email you used. Then the task appears in their list.
Who can mark the task as done?
The person it is assigned to and the owner.
Can I assign a task to myself?
Yes. Type your own name or email and select Assign.
Can the person I assign see my other tasks?
No. They only see the tasks you assign to them or share with them.
Is linking a person the same as assigning them?
No. Linking a contact to a task is private and shares nothing with them. Assigning gives them the task and lets them see it.
