Why can't I delete this task?

Only the person who made a task can delete it.

Short answer

Only the owner can delete a task. If someone shared or assigned it to you, you see Only the owner can delete this task. Ask the owner, or stop working on it instead.

Delete a task you own

  1. Open the task and select the ··· menu at the top.

  2. Select Delete task.

  3. Humble asks Delete this task? Select Delete.

  4. When you finish, you’ll see this.

This is for the owner of the task. Everyone else sees Only the owner can delete this task.

Delete several at once

On the Tasks page, select the tasks, then Bulk actions and Delete. Humble only deletes the ones you own, and asks first: This can’t be undone.

Questions

Can an Admin delete my task?

No. Admins can edit and share a task, but only the owner can delete it.

Can I get a deleted task back?

No. Deleting a task can’t be undone.
