How do I open the Humble sidebar?

Your notes and tasks, next to any web page.

Works in: the Humble browser extension

Short answer

Select the Humble icon in your browser toolbar. The sidebar opens on the right of the page. Or press Ctrl Shift K (on a Mac, that is the Control key, not ⌘) to open it with a new note started.

Open and close the sidebar

  1. Select the Humble icon in your toolbar. The sidebar opens on the right of the page.

  2. To close it, select Close the sidebar (the × at the top), or the Humble icon again.

Other ways

  • Shortcut: Ctrl Shift K (on a Mac, that is the Control key, not ⌘) opens the sidebar and starts a note. You can change it at chrome://extensions/shortcuts.
  • The bookmark: switch on Show the Humble bookmark on web pages in My profile. A small Humble tab then sits on the right edge of every page. Select it to open the sidebar.

The sidebar has three tabs: Notes, Tasks and Contacts. The house button opens Humble Home in a new tab.

Questions

I can’t see the Humble icon.

Select the puzzle piece next to the address bar, then the pin next to Humble.

Is there a right-click option?

No. Use the icon, the shortcut or the bookmark.

Why won’t it open?

Some pages don’t allow it.
