What does "is editing this field" mean?

Humble lets one person edit a field at a time, so nobody’s changes are lost.

Short answer

Someone else is typing in that field right now, such as the title or description. Wait for them to finish. The field frees itself after five minutes without typing.

What you see when someone else, or you in another tab, is editing a field.

If you have the same task open somewhere else, Humble says You are already editing this field and where. Select Edit here instead to carry on in this tab.

Questions

Is my typing lost?

No. Humble saves as you go. If a change could not be saved, it tells you: Your last changes to the title weren’t saved.

Can we edit different fields at the same time?

Yes. The lock is for one field, not the whole task.
