How do I stop sharing something?

Take someone off a task or note.

Works in: the web app at my.humbleai.com

Short answer

On a task, select Share, then the person’s role, then Remove access. On a note, open Sharing and change their Permission to Remove. Only the owner and Admins can do this.

Stop sharing a task

  1. Open the task and select Share at the bottom.

  2. Next to the person, select their role.

  3. Select Remove access.

  4. When you finish, you’ll see this.

They are gone from the list, and the Share count goes down.

Stop sharing a note

  1. Open the note’s Sharing window (the person icon, or Shared with on the note). Next to the person, open Permission.

  2. Choose Remove. It happens straight away.

  3. When you finish, you’ll see this.

Questions

Do they get told?

No. The task or note just stops showing for them.

Can they still see it?

They might, if they have access another way: through your company domain, a shared tag or a space. Check the list for those too.

Can I remove the owner?

No. The owner always has access.
